About Submitting a Design

Dystopic’s message is one that all can recognize as a bleak and genuine possibility. Dystopic is all too aware that the world is far from perfect and that legitimate existential dangers threaten the very continuation of humankind. These issues are often downplayed, ignored or just tuned out by the monotony of everyday life. We aim to highlight the grim possibilities of our future in our own distinct way. Through our designs we intend to bring attention to important issues giving rise to compelling conversation and, hopefully, inspire a shift in consciousness and maybe even meaningful positive change.

Think pessimistically for just a moment. What scenario do you foresee possibly bringing an end to the human race as we know it? A political crisis perhaps escalating into nuclear or biological warfare? Cult or religious fanaticism? Environmental decimation? Governmental submission and acceptance of a Totalitarian regime? Complete social division resulting in civil war? A natural disease? Technology? A.I.? A cosmic disaster? An asteroid? Space invaders?!... Draw it.

Or… how do you think we might avoid all of this negativity?

Draw that. While we do ask for your design to portray some element of the horrors listed above it may also contain, in part or overwhelmingly, a message of positivity, optimism, hope, peace, unity, revolution, justice, beauty, nirvana, tolerance, acceptance, health, happiness, love, truth, trust, freedom, knowledge etc.

What You Should Know

  1. Once you donate a piece to us, we own it. Hence “donate.” That being said, we will never sell clothing with your donated design on them without ourselves donating 10% of profits made from that item to the charity of your choice.

  2. It is your choice to be mentioned on the “Artists” page of our website and it is up to you how much information you would like to provide. You may choose to remain anonymous but the Charity you choose will be mentioned related to your design.

  3. Merchant and Transactions fees are applied to individual donations made to charities. In order to maximize the effectiveness of the donations single large donations are preferred over multiple small donations. Because of this, the total profits made from clothing sold with your design will be calculated towards the end of the year and 10% of that total will be donated to your charity in one lump sum.
